Realizing the gravity of the situation, the narrator understands that their fate is difficult and challenging. Through this connection, the narrator finds out that they cannot go on without the person they are singing about. The narrator smokes marijuana to connect with their higher power, and seek guidance for something. The song begins by setting the scene for the listener by describing the weather as hot in the city. His obsession is consuming him, and he can't resist the hold she has over him, and in this way, he and the woman are similarly captive. However, he ultimately understands that his only cure is the woman he's desperate for.

The speaker's drug use indicates that he is attempting to ease his pain and find some solace through a mystical connection. The lyrics in 'Mi Condena' show a deep longing for love and the unrelenting torment that stems from not having it nearby.
